The United Nations declared the year 2002 as the "Year of the Mountains" and encouraged countries all over the world to have environmental conferences regarding the conservation of the mountains. The Conference for the Caribbean area was held in Cuba. Clyde was invited to Cuba to photograph the mountains of Cuba for the Conference.
Clyde spent three weeks photograping from the Sierra Maestra on the east coast, to the mogote region of the west coast. The beauty and majesty of Cuba's natural landscape are captured in Clyde's intimate compositions.
The 9x10 book contains fifty-one images, a Foreward by Mr. Robert Bendick Jr., Director, Southeast Division, Nature Conservancy and an Introduction by Alejandro Grajal, Director Latin American & Caribbean Program for the National Audubon Society. The book also contains "snap-shots" of Clyde's photographic adventure in Cuba.
