Scott and Conny, our Big Cypress Gallery employees, joined us to photograph the Florida Garden for the afternoon. It was great to share this beautiful place with them.
We very much enjoyed this area because it reflects the environment we love.

During the spring, flowers fill Myakka State Park.

During the spring, flowers fill Myakka State Park. As I walked along the trails lined with flowers I felt like I was on my way to heaven. I had always wanted to photograph this period of time in Myakka, but my schedule didn’t coordinate with my desire.

Finally, I got the chance and grabbed it. I had a great time taking many photographs of the fields filled with flowers.

Clyde's America the Beautiful Exhibit is on displa

Clyde's America the Beautiful Exhibit is on display at the Midwest Museum of Art now through July 16th. We hope our Indiana friends can make it to see this incredible display of Clyde's photographs!

This collection celebrates the beauty of the American landscape from the Redwood forests of California to the Everglade swamps of Florida. Clyde majestically captures the public natural lands set aside by the Federal and State governments for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations.

This area of Big Talbot Island, near Jacksonville, reminds me of the coast of California near Carmel; rugged and wind-blown. It is a fun area to photograph because of all the barren trees and driftwood laying about the beach.

One of Clyde’s first goals after his stroke was

One of Clyde’s first goals after his stroke was to be able to walk the distance of the Highlands Hammock boardwalk using his walker…and of course, taking photographs along the way. He did it and also took some wonderful photographs too! It seemed everywhere we looked along the boardwalk were photographic opportunities. It was a perfect day filled with the joy of doing what we love…photography.

When we met Marco he shared his father’s old Brownie Hawk-Eye camera with Clyde. The good condition of the camera and that he still had the instructions to go with it, enthralled Clyde, and they enjoyed a fun conversation about old cameras and photography.
