New Book!  Clyde Butcher: Visions of Dali’s Spain.  In 2016, Clyde Butcher, was invited to collaborate on a project with the Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida to photograph Salvador Dalí’s home environment in Spain; a region that deeply inspired Dalí’s art.  Clyde traveled to the village of Cadaqués where Dalí spent summers growing up, Dalí’s home in Port Lligat, and the rugged area of Cap de Creus to capture some of the most dramatic landscapes in the world. In his photographs, Clyde invites us not only to appreciate the grandeur and beauty that Dalí saw in his region of Spain, but to look with new eyes, to contemplate Dalí’s earth and sky from a new perspective. Featuring 45 never-before-seen photographs by Clyde and samples of Salvador Dalí’s own works, Peter Tush, Exhibit Curator of The Dali Museum, further demonstrates the influence of the Catalonian landscape on Dalí’s paintings, and Clyde’s ability to capture the power of light in black and white. This hardcover book features 45 new Clyde Butcher landscapes, five double-page spreads and eight full page photos. Foreword by Hank Hine, Executive Director, The Dalí Museum, artist statement by Clyde Butcher, biographical text by Jeff Klinkenberg, and text by Peter Tush.   97 pages total; Book Size 12″ x 9.25″ FREE shipping on all gift & book orders over $50 (in the Continental USA) Order by phone call 941-486-0811
