Pico Galon
The ride in the old Russian dump truck up the steep road to the hiking trail of Fidel’s rebel camp was both scary and beautiful. It was only scary because of the condition of the ancient Russian vehicle. The road was so steep that the driver didn’t want to come to a stop for fear the truck would start rolling backward, but I saw this mountain peaking in and out of the clouds and just had to take the photo. He reluctantly stopped the truck. While I set up my camera in the dump truck bed so I would be high enough to see over the vegetation, Niki jumped out and began taking photos of us in the truck. At that moment, she was probably the safest! If the truck started rolling, we’d just have to wave goodbye to her. This photograph is printed on a large format Epson printer using genuine Epson ink and archival Harman Hahnemuhle paper. Each photograph is digitally signed, then mounted and matted to current archival standards. This is a limited edition series and each photograph is numbered.
