Roan Mountain State Park

Tree Grass Roan Mountain
While exploring the Smoky Mountain area, we visited Roan Mountain State Park, which is on the border of Tennessee and North Carolina. The park is well known for its profusion of rhododendron flowers, and there were still quite a few still blooming while we were there. The hike on Roan Mountain was a beautiful, easy hike and I had a great time enjoying the scenery. When I came across this scene I was fascinated with the contrast between the texture of the tree and the grass, which seemed to flow like water. This photograph is printed on a large format Epson printer using genuine Epson ink and archival Harman Hahnemuhle paper. Each photograph is digitally signed, then mounted and matted to current archival standards. This is a limited edition series and each photograph is numbered.
