Wonder Lake 8
The extensive breadth of the open space in Denali is emotionally overwhelming. With no sign of humanity, I felt the weight of expectations lifted off my chest, and the sense of freedom was exhilarating. It just felt good to be alive to bear witness to such beauty. Because vehicles are not allowed deep in the park, we took a tour bus into the backcountry. The driver told us to yell if we saw an animal, and he’d stop. I wanted to yell, “Landscape, stop!” but then I realized that wasn’t going to work because he’d have to stop too often. This photograph is printed on a large format Epson printer using genuine Epson ink and archival Harman Hahnemuhle paper. Each photograph is digitally signed, then mounted and matted to current archival standards. This is a limited edition series and each photograph is numbered.
