During our visit to Yosemite National Park, we stayed at an elevation of 6,000 feet, and every morning and evening, we passed Inspiration Point on our way to and from Yosemite Valley. This viewing point is always bustling with photographers, so much so that tripod legs often overlap each other! While it’s a stunning view, I craved something more unique. I hiked around and ventured down a road until I encountered this scene. However, I had a problem. Some bushes obstructed my view. So, I left, bought a ladder, and returned the next day. With my 8-foot ladder and 9-foot Benro tripod, I set my camera up over the greenery and captured this photograph. This photograph is hand-printed in Clyde’s darkroom on fiber-based paper, selenium toned, then mounted and matted to current archival standards.
