Castor and Pollux, Dalí’s Garden Wall © 2017
Cadaqués, Spain
Photographic Story
I was fascinated by the unique features at Dalí’s home in Port Lligat. As I was wandering around the outside of Dalí’s home, I found these two heads on the top of the wall in the courtyard. They are known as Castor and Pollux, the Dioscuri. According to Greek mythology, they were born to Princess Leda, and hatched from an egg and later were able to live eternally as the constellation Gemini.
