CORAL COAST 2 © 2002Cuba
I found the coral coast of Cuba to be a rugged, desolate, and starkly beautiful area. The plants that survive in this region are hardy and unique, bonsai-like plants with wonderfully artistic shapes. The ecosystem Coral Coast 2, near Santiago de Cuba Salto el Rocio 2, near Trinidad reminded me of a desert. Only instead of sand, I was standing on top of coral. I could have spent a week or more just photographing this area, but we had to move on and up into the mountains. This photograph is printed on a large format Epson printer using genuine Epson ink and archival Harman Hahnemuhle paper. Each photograph is digitally signed, then mounted and matted to current archival standards. This is a limited edition series and each photograph is numbered.
