As we sailed past Mount Fairweather in Glacier Bay, Niki and I went onto the ship’s deck. The view that greeted us was simply overwhelming. Niki stayed to enjoy the gorgeous pink sky while I quickly ran back to our cabin to grab my camera. Standing there, gazing at the magnificent landscape, it struck me that Captain Cook named this mountain Mount Fairweather on a similar, rare clear day in 1773, and two hundred and forty-two years later, I had the privilege of witnessing the same unspoiled beauty of these mountains, just as he did centuries ago. This photograph is printed on a large format Epson printer using genuine Epson ink and archival Harman Hahnemuhle paper. Each photograph is digitally signed, then mounted and matted to current archival standards. This is a limited edition series and each photograph is numbered.
