ADAMS RANCH EXECUTIVE OFFICE
Ft. Pierce, Florida
Photographic Story We have been fortunate to visit many of Florida’s ranches. It is always a joy to be with people who love the land and understand that need to take care of it so that their livelihood will not disappear. One of the great ranches in Florida is the Adams Ranch. Bud Adams is known as an environmental rancher. Spending the day with Bud was inspirational. He’s a vanishing bred, a man who is successful, but is honest, hardworking, courteous, & humble. As he drove us around his land we came across this fantastic tree house. If you’ll notice, the tree house is not attached to the tree, it just appears that way. He calls it his executive office. When Niki saw it she exclaimed, “That is my childhood dream…a lovely tree house! You’ve got to photograph it!” I don’t normally take photos of manmade objects, but this was truly an exception. I too had a childhood dream of living in an exotic tree house…even tried to build myself one when I was young. Analog – Archival Silver Gelatin Photograph Clyde’s silver gelatin black and white images are created using an 8”x10”, 11”x14”, or 12”x20” view camera. Clyde prints his images in his own darkroom on fiberbase paper in a limited edition. The photographs are selenium toned, then mounted and matted to current archival standards. His images come in sizes from 8”x10” inches to 5’x8’ feet. His love of art and nature is seen in the exceptional detail and more subtle textures of his photography.
