GLACIER POINT © 1997Rocky Mountain National Park, CO
I was enthralled with the tundra of the Rocky Mountains. I wanted to photograph an area that gave the feeling of the tundra, as well as the altitude in which it lives. I felt that this scene, with the distant forest below and the mountains arching up in the background, would do just that. This photograph was taken, breathlessly, at 12,000 ft. This photograph is hand-printed in Clyde’s darkroom on fiber-based paper, selenium toned, then mounted and matted to current archival standards. The photograph is a limited edition and signed by Clyde. Disclaimer – Cropping, contrast, and image density may vary. To learn more about the darkroom printing process, click here.
