CAYO COSTA DRIFTWOOD 1 © 2015Barrier Island, Gulf Coast
Situated on a barrier island on Florida’s western coastline, Cayo Costa Island State Park can only be reached by boat or ferry. During one visit, I spotted a tree washed ashore and felt compelled to capture it in a photograph. The ideal perspective was from a very low position, so I crouched down to shoot from an angle underneath the tree. Luckily, I was using a digital camera at the time. This shot would have been unattainable with my large-format camera. The most challenging part of that shot was getting back up!
This photograph is printed on a large format Epson printer using genuine Epson ink and archival Harman Hahnemuhle paper. Each photograph is digitally signed, then mounted and matted to current archival standards. This is a limited edition series and each photograph is numbered.
