DEAD LAKES 19 © 2005Florida Panhandle
Dead Lakes is a very unusual lake. It’s difficult to get around unless you know the lake very well because old dead cypress trees can be 1-20 feet beneath your boat. If you go to fast you might lose your prop, and so we put-putted around the lake at a nice slow speed. I took this photograph from the boat. The water was deeper than my tripod, so Niki and Elam Stoltzfus held the boat against cypress knees while I photographed. I was very pleased that the film came out sharp.
