We need to share an update regarding the open hous

We need to share an update regarding the open house and swamp celebration. Unfortunately, Clyde and Niki Butcher will no longer be able to attend the event.

While we can’t share the details just yet, rest assured that their absence is for positive reasons. Stay tuned for some exciting news coming your way soon—keep an eye on your email and our social channels!

If you’d like a refund, you can request one directly through Eventbrite, and we will happily honor it. However, if you prefer to keep your ticket as a donation to The Alliance for Florida’s National Parks, your contribution will directly support the Swamp Water and Me program. This program gives students the opportunity to experience a field trip into Big Cypress and learn about its incredible natural beauty.

The Big Cypress Gallery will still be open for you to explore, and all scheduled swamp walks will take place on the property as planned.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support. We hope to see you at the event, and we can’t wait to share more exciting updates with you soon!

We’re relieved to share that the storm has passe

We’re relieved to share that the storm has passed, and grateful to let you know that we’re all safe.

The Venice Gallery has only minimal damage and will reopen soon—stay tuned for updates. The Big Cypress Gallery was untouched by the storm and will reopen tomorrow.

We are incredibly thankful, but we know not everyone in Florida was as fortunate. Our hearts go out to those affected by the storm and dealing with its aftermath. Much of Florida will need time to recover.

As Hurricane Milton approaches, we want to update

As Hurricane Milton approaches, we want to update you on our status. We are grateful to share that the Butcher family has safely evacuated together.

With forecasts predicting landfall on the central Gulf Coast, our Venice Gallery team has also evacuated. Fortunately, the Big Cypress Gallery is outside the storm’s cone, and the team there is safe.

Both galleries will remain closed until it is safe to reopen. We’ll update you as soon as possible.

Our hearts are with everyone in Florida and in the path of this storm.
