Horseshoe Bend
Photographic Story Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Arizona – As I inched closer and closer to the edge of the cliff, Niki started yelling at me saying, “No photograph is worth your life!” She was a nervous wreck the entire time we were there. The problem is that in order to get the whole river at the bottom of the canyon in the photograph I had to get to the edge. Photographers with digital cameras were actually laying down and hanging their camera out over the edge. It wasn’t an easy or safe way to photograph, but it sure was beautiful. Digital – Archival Pigment Print This photograph was taken with an analog large format camera. After Clyde develops the negative, the film is scanned and edited in a computer program mimicking his darkroom techniques. The photograph is printed on an Epson Stylus 4800 or 11880 printer. Clyde uses archival Ultra-chrome K3 ink and prints on archival Harman Hahnemuhle paper. The limited edition photograph is then mounted and matted to current archival standards. This is a limited edition series and each photograph is numbered.
