BOUBINSKY PRALES 1 © 2000The Czech Republic
I was invited to travel to the Czech Republic by Jirr Kostelecky. He was a Czech citizen and the President of the European R.M. Rilke Foundation, who had seen my Visions for the Next Millenium collection in the States in 1999. I was curious and excited to photograph outside of the United States. Niki and I traveled to The Czech Republic in 2000 and enjoyed photographing and walking the ethereal forests. They reminded us of scenes from childhood fairytales. We returned in 2001 to the National Gallery in Prague to celebrate the extended version of Visions for the Next Millenium exhibit that included my photos of The Czech Republic taken in 2000.
