“This picture represented a landscape near Port Lligat, whose rocks were lighted by a transparent and melancholy twilight; in the foreground an olive tree with its branches cut, and without leaves”. – Salvador Dalí Photographic Story I found this place on the way to Port Lligat and I returned to it several times. Seeing the dramatic jagged rocks against the blue Mediterranean, it became clear to me that this was the inspiration of Dalí’s Persistence of Memory Paintings.
