MONTEREY SURF © 1970California
Photography is a skill as well as an art. In my early years as a photographer, I studied well-established, successful black-and-white photographers and tried to emulate their styles as I worked to find my own style. Edward Weston lived in the Monterey area and had created many photographs in that region. Inspired by Weston’s work and eager to refine my landscape photography skills, I embarked on a journey to the Monterey area to capture images that reflected his artistic style.
