ARCHES 8 © 1997Moab, UT
Photographic Story After spending time as an Artist-in-Residence in the Rocky Mountain National Park, we drove over the “hill” and visited the Arches. As you may imagine, it was a very different environment compared to the green of the Rocky Mountains, but it was very stimulating to the eye. The shapes, textures, and shadows made for incredible photographic opportunities, but we were not prepared for the over one hundred degree temperatures, so we didn’t stay very long. Digital – Archival Pigment Print This photograph was taken with an analog large format camera. After Clyde develops the negative, the film is scanned and edited in a computer program mimicking his darkroom techniques. The photograph is printed on an Epson Stylus 4800 or 11880 printer. Clyde uses archival Ultra-chrome K3 ink and prints on archival Harman Hahnemuhle paper. The limited-edition photograph is then mounted and matted to current archival standards. This is a limited edition series and each photograph is numbered.
