South Carolina

There are very few national parks on the east coast of our country, so it was a wonderful surprise to discover the Congaree National Park in South Carolina. Although the park is only thirty-five square miles, it is home to one of the highest canopies in the world. As Niki and I sat on a bench along the boardwalk looking out over what some would call forest and others would call swamp, I thought to myself, so this is what the east coast once looked like with giant hardwood trees and dense forests. What a wondrous place it must have been when our forefathers arrived on this magnificent landscape. This photograph is printed on a large format Epson printer using genuine Epson ink and archival Harman Hahnemuhle paper. Each photograph is digitally signed, then mounted and matted to current archival standards. This is a limited edition series and each photograph is numbered.
