I am a science fiction buff. After I saw Close Encounters of the Third Kind, I knew I had to make my way to Devils Tower. I found it to be a spiritual place. The light was brilliant, and the sky a clear blue hue. As we walked along, we noticed prayer bundles scattered about the park; they sparked my soul and made me fully realize the sacredness of this earth. This photograph is hand-printed in Clyde’s darkroom on fiber-based paper, selenium toned, then mounted and matted to current archival standards.
