EL CAPITAN 100 © 2006Yosemite National Park, CA
I captured this photograph early in the morning before the Merced River became a rushing torrent of melted snow. Because the river was still at the time, I was able to use the reflection as part of the composition. With a clear blue sky, I used a red filter, accentuating the upthrust of El Capitan into a dark sky, creating a very clean composition.
