GLACIER CREEK © 1997Rocky Mountain National Park, CO
While Artist in Residence at the Park, we decided to take a hike up to Alberta Falls. Glacier Creek runs along the trail on the way up to Alberta Falls in the Rocky Mountain National Park. As I set up my camera to take this picture of the creek and waited for the right light, I was amazed at the vast number of people who blindly hiked right past this lovely scene without stopping. It became clear to me that the hikers were so mentally preoccupied with reaching their destination of Alberta Falls that they weren’t aware of the beauty they were missing along the way.
