GRAND CANYON MOONRISE 2 © 2011Arizona
Grand Canyon National Park is such a fantastic place! Throughout the day, shadows crawl across the canyon, creating a multitude of different images. A person could spend an entire life photographing nothing but the canyon and never shoot the same scene. Niki and I arrived at the park in January for a week of photography, hoping to find at least a dusting of snow; alas, there was none. We hiked the south rim and enjoyed ourselves tremendously despite the frigid temperatures. On this particular day, we were surprised by a full moon rising over the canyon’s edge.
