HALF DOME 48 © 2006Yosemite National Park, CA
My favorite lenses are wide-angle. I rarely use long lenses, however on this image I photographed using a 450mm on my 5×7” view camera. I waited for around two hours to get this picture because I wanted the light and shadows on the face of Half Dome to be perfect. While I waited other photographers came and went and came again, always asking why I was still there! But I finally got what I wanted. This is one of my favorite pictures of Yosemite.
