LAKE CRESCENT © 1996Olympic National Park, WA
We were returning from the Hoh Rain Forest when we saw this scene. I knew the lighting wouldn’t last long, so I quickly stopped the car and set up the camera with Niki’s help. We had been photographing in the Olympic National Park for two weeks and were really in rhythm with each other, which was helpful for how quickly we worked at this scene. As soon as I took the picture, the clouds shifted causing the silver streak on the lake to disappear.
