MARIPOSA GROVE 171 © 2006Yosemite National Park
While I was in California I took some time to visit my favorite place, Yosemite National Park. I had never photographed the Giant Sequoia Redwoods, so we spent most of the time in the Mariposa Grove. The trees are so large that it is difficult to portray their size unless a person is standing next to them. However, when I saw this tree with its unique root system, I thought it would do the job.
