TREE GRASS © 2014Roan Mountain State Park
While exploring the Smoky Mountain area, we visited Roan Mountain State Park, which is on the border of Tennessee and North Carolina. The park is well known for its profusion of rhododendron flowers, and there were still quite a few still blooming while we were there. The hike on Roan Mountain was a beautiful, easy hike and I had a great time enjoying the scenery. When I came across this scene I was fascinated with the contrast between the texture of the tree and the grass, which seemed to flow like water.
