Photographic Story
Zion has incredible red canyon walls; at least that’s what Niki says. I’m colorblind, so I couldn’t tell you. She says it’s a perfect place for color photography because the green of the trees bounces off the red walls. I think it’s also a great place for black and white photography. The mountains above the canyon are filled with wonderful shapes and textures, as is the valley in the canyon. I had a great time there, but I didn’t stay long enough even to start photographing the upper levels.
Digital – Archival Pigment Print
This photograph was taken with an analog large format camera. After Clyde develops the negative, the film is scanned and edited in a computer program mimicking his darkroom techniques. The photograph is printed on an Epson Stylus 4800 or 11880 printer. Clyde uses archival Ultra-chrome K3 ink and prints on archival Harman Hahnemuhle paper. The limited edition photograph is then mounted and matted to current archival standards. This is a limited edition series and each photograph is numbered.
