CORKSCREW SUNFLOWERS © 2009Naples, FL
Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, Naples, Florida – After experiencing the profusion of sunflowers at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, Mary Wozniak was convinced that I needed to see it too. She made arrangements with Ed Carlson, Director of Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, and off we all went into the depths of Corkscrew to experience this explosion of flowers that happens only once every 3-4 years. Sixty acres of sunflowers arched toward the sun stretching to between 6-10 feet tall. I was speechless. The beauty was as though Mary had invited me to join her in heaven.
