GATOR HOOK 4 © 2016The Everglades
I took this photograph during the dry season. I rarely go out into swamp areas during the dry time of the year because it’s mating season, which makes alligators aggressive in protecting their water holes. It is also mating season for all kinds of species, so in general alligators, snakes, etc. are all aggressive. However, I had heard that the cypress trees were beautiful at Gator Hook and I was hoping there would be a little bit of water at their base to add a gentle feeling to the scene. It turned out to be a beautiful day and I got several wonderful shots of the area.
