Myakka River State Park, Sarasota

This image was exposed in the depression marsh at Myakka River State Park, it’s a roadside scene that is very easy to access for all. The depression marsh is an area that transforms throughout the year, flooding in the wet season; full of flowers in spring. It is a magical place that is constantly changing. On this particular day, I had set out with my infrared-converted camera and drove this scene. Observing the lighting on these palms, made me stop and take in the moment and enjoy it. The palms seemed to be glowing and emerging beyond the clouds behind them. This photograph is printed on a large format Epson printer using genuine Epson ink and archival Harman Hahnemuhle paper. Each photograph is digitally signed, then mounted and matted to current archival standards. This is a limited edition series and each photograph is numbered.
