Exhibit: Lifeworks in Photography

We are excited to announce the first showing of “Clyde Butcher: Lifeworks in Photography” at the Las Cruces Museum of Art, on view from September 6th through December 28th, 2024!
This remarkable retrospective exhibit features 45 stunning large-format, black-and-white photographic prints, spanning over 50 years of Clyde Butcher’s career. The collection includes images from 1969 to 2022, capturing his adventures across the USA, Cuba, the Czech Republic, and Spain, as well as intimate portraits of rare natural wonders like the ghost orchid.
In addition to the photographs, the exhibit will showcase Clyde’s largest 12×20 camera, artifacts from his extraordinary past, and a brand-new 10-minute film titled A Conversation with Clyde and Niki.
